Cooperators

The American food and agriculture industry benefits from a large number of associations and organizations that support export market development. These groups, referred to as "Cooperators" and "Participants,” receive support from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) to conduct activities overseas such as trade missions, pavilions at trade shows, point-of-sale demonstrations, informational seminars, market research, and technical assistance. As USDA partners, these U.S. non-profit commodity or agricultural trade associations, cooperatives, state regional trade groups, and small businesses share the costs of overseas marketing and promotional activities to promote U.S. agricultural commodities overseas.
